Project Overview

Building near any water way combines careful planning and paying close attention to the sensitive nature of the stream side environment, paticularly if it is a salmon-bearing creek, in Bayside.  In keeping with these two tennets, the customer requested a building aesthetic which combined the striking  beauty of the natural environment with the old world charm and grace of a craftsman style structure. Property easements and stream set-back requirements led to a tight building placement by the road, overlooking the two and a half-acre parcel in a bowl below.  In this case, as in many cases, waterways are usually at the bottom of a hill or mountain which necessitate careful building placement and design to utilize available sun light for maximum solar gain for a future solar system for which the house was wired.
